As a coach this is one of the foundational mantras that we learn during the coaching process and as we delve into this mantra we realise this transcends all aspects of life.

Awareness is like a guiding light on the path to change. It's the flashlight we need to navigate the dark corners of our habits, beliefs, and behaviours. Without it, we stumble blindly, repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results.

So, what does it mean for awareness to precede change?

Change can only begin when we acknowledge our current state. Often, we operate on autopilot, going about our daily routines without questioning why we do what we do. Awareness forces us to pause and take a closer look.

Sometimes, we're in denial about our behaviours or their impact on our lives. Overcoming denial requires courage and a willingness to face uncomfortable truths.

Steps to Develop Awareness
